Why I only speak online and refuse to do live speaking gigs
I don’t know if you know the story behind why I only speak online these days?
It happened by pure accident, it’s not because it saves me a signification amount of money on travel, expensive hotel bills and countless hours away from home.
A couple of years ago I was asked to speak at a conference for The Association of Business Psychologist. Up to this point, I had spent my time at Toastmasters, and as a member of the Professional Speaking Association and had given a number of live talks around England.
But for some reason, this one was different, not sure why and am still unable to put my finger on it but at this event, I had a serious panic attack and from that point on I said to myself no more live speaking events. So what was I going to do I had invested hours and thousands on learning how to speak to a live audience.
I am an incredibly resilient person it’s the gift of being Dyslexic when you take a closer look at things you can normally find a way around and I soon discovered a much better way that didn’t involve high levels of stress, travel and time.
The first time I was asked to speak online was for a company in the USA, of course, I was interested to see how different this was going to be in comparison to speaking at live gigs. I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was and what a relief it was, yes it was different I couldn’t interact with the audience which creates a totally different energy and is often what speakers thrive on.
But this was far outweighed by the number of people that signed up for the lead magnet I had created, 147 people in just 30 minutes. Trust me when I tell you that I had not generated that amount of interest from all the live speaking gigs I had done over the years.
To this day, I am still contented with some of those people via email marketing.
Be honest with yourself, how many live speaking gigs have you spoken at and you’ve only generated a little bit of interest and no real solid leads? Don’t worry this is happening to hundreds of people all over the world who are using speaking to grow their business you really are not alone.
It used to happen to me until I mastered speaking online, from just one online speaking event I generated 147 high-quality leads without having to move my butt from my seat, I’ve made sales and started working with international clients who purchase online courses every time I release them.
Just imagine how easy it would be to book 10 new online speaking gigs and put them into your diary for March 2016. What impact would this have on your business?
So how do you get started?
There are literally hundreds of speaking opportunities available online you just have to know where to look, how to approach people so they say “YES” and what you are going to do to get your audience online to continue the relationship with you.
That’s why I have bought together a Book 10 Speaking Gigs in the Next 4 Weeks
In a nutshell, now is the PERFECT time for you to focus on speaking online – start reducing how much time you spend travelling and make some serious money for years to come.
You really don’t need to struggle anymore with the idea of making this a reality – Feeling frustrated because you don’t know how to find and secure THE BEST speaking opportunities.
